These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Whats4Dinner mobile application ("the app"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms.
Whats4Dinner is a recipe discovery app that uses your camera to identify ingredients and suggest recipes. The app offers both free and paid subscription tiers.
The free tier includes up to 3 ingredient scans per day, recipe suggestions, saved recipes, and a grocery list. The Pro subscription unlocks unlimited scans, weekly meal plans, automatic grocery lists, and access to all cuisine types.
Billing. Pro subscriptions are available as weekly ($4.99/week), monthly ($12.99/month), or annual ($79.99/year) plans. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.
Free trial. New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the subscription price for the selected plan.
Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial period if applicable.
Renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play Store > Subscriptions on Android). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Free trial terms. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Recipes are generated using artificial intelligence and are provided for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that recipes are free from errors. You are responsible for verifying ingredients, cooking times, and temperatures, especially regarding food allergies and dietary restrictions.
Food safety. Always follow proper food safety practices. Ensure meats reach safe internal temperatures. If you have food allergies, verify all ingredients before cooking. The app's ingredient identification is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate.
Not medical advice. Recipe suggestions and nutritional information (if provided) are not a substitute for professional dietary or medical advice. Consult a healthcare provider for dietary guidance related to medical conditions.
You agree to use the app only for its intended purpose of recipe discovery and meal planning. You agree not to:
The app, its design, and its underlying technology are owned by Whats4Dinner. Recipes generated by the app may be used freely for personal purposes. You may share individual recipes with others.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that ingredient identification will be completely accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to damages related to food preparation, allergic reactions, or dietary decisions made based on app content.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
